WORKSHOP WITH KTH + STUDENTS AROUND COLIVING PROGRAM

Workshop where students create their own housing programs for coliving through area and function games. Test what the student’s value the most.

Comments

• The tolerance of increased costs for exchange students was higher than expected, as many demand more functions and living space at a higher price. Only a few of the participating students had the ambition to keep a low rent, below 4500 / month
• Great interest in cooking, many mention the advantage of being able to eat more together as the main advantage of living in a shared apartment.
• Many of the students like the idea of sharing a kitchen with about 4 people.
• None of the students likes the dorm form, but it's not bad either.

WORKSHOP WITH TESTBED KTH STUDENTS AROUND WORKSHOP DESIGN

Workshop with accommodation in Live-In Lab. We worked with the students and the floor plan of the coliving home. Partly based on how they experience today's housing and what they would prioritize in the form of a housing solution.

Comments

• Understanding of coliving for smaller units, similar family size, 4-6 people. All students agreed that they were not interested in living with more than 6 people as it becomes more difficult to create a "home environment".
• Knowledge of how they use today's solution, what they like, what shortcomings there are and what more they want?
• Students like today's division between shared and private.
• Daylight to the common areas
• Shared bathroom is ok
• 5500-6000 is what you can pay
